Sometimes there are times when sorry is not enough. This non-rhyming verse is ideal to compliment a blank card.

Taking a chance you will read this card
Hoping it will not be tossed aside
I want to say I am sorry
Sorry, I put our friendship at risk
Sorry, I did not make an effort
I do hope you will give me a chance
A chance to say these words face to face
But for the moment I have chosen
To reach out to you
To apologise and hope
Hope that you will forgive me
